Itinerary details 

Day 1 : Tangier – Chefchaouen

Today we’ll start our tour from Tangier towards Chefchaouen to visit blue city, is a captivating and unique town located in the Rif Mountains. The town’s distinctive blue color is what sets it apart from many other places in the world. The tradition of painting buildings in shades of blue is said to have been introduced by Jewish refugees who settled in Chefchaouen in the 1930s. Overnight in your riad at Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Today, we departure from chefchaouen to Fes via Moulay Idriss, holy city and visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. It’s a fascinating archaeological site located just about an hour’s drive away from the city. Volubilis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Volubilis was originally founded as a Phoenician settlement in the 3rd century BC but later became a prosperous Roman city around the 1st century AD. Next, we move to the city of Meknes which is famous for Bab Mansour, a huge gate with arches and mosaic tiling and luxurious palaces. Overnight in your riad at Fes. Lunch at Volubilis and Meknes known as “The Versailles of Morocco”. Visit the monuments of Meknes. Overnight in your riad at Fes.

Day 3: Fes Guided Tour

After breakfast you’ll meet your guide and go exploring Fes el-Bali; the Jewish quarter of the medieval era, the fancy gate of the Royal Palace, more the Islamic street with the beautiful Andalusian balconies of the houses of Moresque refugees after the Spanish conquest at the 15th century, drive along the Ramparts, visit the ceramics, and some of the gates of the oldest medina in Morocco, the first Imperial still standing city Fes elbaly, navigate inside the big labyrinth is another experience taking you far away centuries back in time, to discover the unchanging Fes, for 12 centuries it remains the same authenticity in building style and the major activities, people are doing the same heritage of their grandparents, the city was founded by moulay Idriss 1st as well as his son Idriss 2nd at the early 8th century, and if there is more time left in the afternoon you can go for a sunset walk along the “Champs Elise” of the French 20 century founded ”la Ville nouvelle”, and drink a cup of coffee in one of the local coffee shop. Overnight in riad.

Day 4: Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Arfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we start our journey from Fes and head for the Ifrane through the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Berber Apes in their natural habitat. Through the ” Tizi N’Talghemt ”, shortly after it’s time to feed the monkeys we are heading south through midel Atlas mountain pass through Midelt, and you will have the opportunity fo view several typical villages and nomad families, then eating lunch in Midelt.
Afterwards, we go to the magnificent Ziz Gorges, you can take some nice pictures, then we continue our drive and enjoy panoramic view along way down to Erfoud, Rissani, after arriving at your hotel in merzouga and drink a glass of mint tea. We leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp the middle of the erg chegaga sand dunes. After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums looking at the stars, after spend the night in the berber tent.

Day 5: Explore Merzouga Desert

Today, we’ll hop on our 4×4 to discover the desert by browsing the villages and area around the desert city Merzouga, then we head to visit the black people in the village of Khamlia who play the authentic spiritual music, and visit the nomadic families to enjoy mint tea with nomads and see how they live, then how they live in their tents with goats, and working donkeys.
Afterwards, we head to the lake of Merzouga, which appear seasonal, you can take some pictures. After visiting the Berber villages and enjoying the desert scenery, its time to back to desert camp! in the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand-sea of Merzouga, you will see a camel ride to reach the desert camp in the middle of the large sand dunes at sunset. Dinner and night in the desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

After breakfast and see the sunrise above the sand dunes, then a camel trek back to the hotel. we continue on the road through to Dades Gorges, we will have the opportunity to look a look at some of the excavations outside the city along the way towards Dades Gorges,
After lunch break, we will drive directly to Todra Gorges to enjoy this wonderful famous Gorges we have in the south of Morocco, you can take pictures and go for a short walk in the Gorges and enjoy the breathtaking views of the river, then we head to Boumalne Dades for watching special rock formations which look like monkey hands, dinner and overnight in the Riad.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ourzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we drive to Marrakech, today we will see a lot of different landscapes on our way. Admire the views of the Valley roses and Skoura palm grove before reaching Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, you can discover the acient Kasbah of Taourirt before head to Kasbah. After lunch break, we head to the visit the famous Kasbah ”Ait Ben Haddou”, which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimone, where several famous movies such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and Prince of Persia have been shot.
Afterwards, we head to the Marrakech over the Tizi N’tichka pass, where you can spot the traditional Berber villages and take some nice pictures. In the evening we’ll arrive in Marrakech at your Riad/Hotel.

Day 8: Marrakech Guided Tour

In the morning, you will start with a local guide for the “Jama El Fna” to discover Medina and its maxim of vibrant streets and famous markets on a full-day tour of Marrakech. Take a tour of places you have never seen before in the city, including a visit to the Sadia tombs built during the reign of Sultan Ahmed al-Mansour and the beautiful palace of Bahia.
Walk freely in the alleys of the Medina and getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before your arriving at the famous Jemaa El Fna Square, here the various tribes come to sell their wares, traders Berbers bring their produce, where you can drink some fresh pressed orange juice while observing the bustle of the snake charmers and women who want to draw your hands with henna, water sellers and monkeys to photograph. We will have lunch in the square at the heart of the medina, afternoon you’ll visit the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Here we can admire a series of beautiful gardens and more, later reach the beautiful Majorelle Garden, this botanical garden is a quiet oasis and this is where your tour ends, and back to your Riad/Hotel.
