Itinerary details 

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

In early morning we start private tour from tangier and we drive through the groves of the RIF mountains and by the city Ouazzan famous with the typical Moroccan coat “JELLABA”. Later in the afternoon you will attend the sunset in the outdoors of the blue city Chefchaouen the icon of the Rif. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes

Wake up early, breakfast and a last short walk in the narrow streets of the medina , before you leave in direction of the glorious city of the 8th century Fes, you are invited to a short hike for one hour in the ruins of Volubilis it is one of the old cities of that was influenced by the existence of the Romans in north of AFRICA in all forms of life , a city that provided a lot of agricultural products to Rome; olive oil, olives, vegetables, wheat, and the famous Ceder wood, later on you are driving ahead to visit the 17th century capital Meknes, with its beautiful gate BAB MANSOUR, the mausoleum of moulay ISMAIL the founder, the granaries, and the reservoir of water SEOUANI; it is recommended to go on a short walk in its peaceful medina. By the late afternoon you will drive Fes; overnight in Fes.

Day 3: Fes Guided Tour

After breakfast you meet your guide and go exploring ,Fes el jaded; the Jewish quarter of the medieval era, the fancy gate of the Royal Palace, more the Islamic street with the beautiful Andalusian balconies of the houses of Moresque refugees after the Spanish conquest at the 15th century, drive along the Ramparts, visit the ceramics, and some of the gates of the oldest medina in Morocco, the first Imperial still standing city Fes elbaly, navigate inside the big labyrinth is another experience taking you far away centuries back in time, to discover the unchanging Fes, for 12 centuries it remains the same authenticity in building style and the major activities, people are doing the same heritage of their grandparents, the city was founded by moulay IDRISS 1st / as well as his son IDRISS 2nd at the early 8th century, and if there is more time left in the afternoon you can go for a sunset walk along the “Champs Elise” of the French 20 century founded ”la Ville nouvelle”, and drink a cup of coffee in one of the local coffee shop, overnight in the same hotel.

Day 4: Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

We leave for Midelt passing through the Atlas mountains and the cedar forest of the middle Atlas. We visit ski resort of Ifrane, then Azrou as an important handicraft centre. We stay in Midelt for lunch, city famous for its mineral products and apples. Afternoon we will drive towards Merzouga desert, visiting cities Erfoud and Rissani. We continue to Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Tonight we stay in local and comfortable riad with tasty Moroccan dinner.

Day 5: Merzouga – Khamila – Nomad Family

Today, we’ll hop on our 4×4 to discover the desert by browsing the villages and area around the desert city Merzouga, then we head to visit the black people in the village of Khamlia who play the authentic spiritual music, and visit the nomadic families to enjoy mint tea with nomads and see how they live, then how they live in their tents with goats, and working donkeys.
Afterwards, we head to the lake of Merzouga, which appear seasonal, you can take some pictures. After visiting the Berber villages and enjoying the desert scenery, its time to back to desert camp! in the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand-sea of Merzouga, you will see a camel ride to reach the desert camp in the middle of the large sand dunes at sunset. Dinner and night in the desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

After the unique experience of the Sahara and the lifetime memorial, today the roads and tracks will take you to follow the trails of the caravans of the old times in direction of the Dades valley and Marrakech, enjoying the landscape, and admiring the power of nature. The visit of Toudra gorges is opposing very strongly, hiking a bit and taking beautiful panoramic photos, the valley and the canyons are breath taking. Later you are driving farther west to the valley of Dades. Overnight in your riad at Dades.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ourzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we drive to Marrakech, today we will see a lot of different landscapes on our way. Admire the views of the Valley roses and Skoura palm grove before reaching Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, you can discover the acient Kasbah of Taourirt before head to Kasbah. After lunch break, we head to the visit the famous Kasbah ”Ait Ben Haddou”, which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimone, where several famous movies such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and Prince of Persia have been shot.
Afterwards, we head to the Marrakech over the Tizi N’tichka pass, where you can spot the traditional Berber villages and take some nice pictures. In the evening we’ll arrive in Marrakech at your Riad/Hotel.

Day 8: Marrakech Guided Tour

The entire day is devoted to exploring the famous city of Marrakech, the second oldest Imperial city which has for centuries been an important stop for traders and travellers. Your tour will include the famous Jardin Majoralle, the Bahia Palace and the Saadian tombs. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, with its 66 metre high minaret dominating the centre of Marrakech. In the afternoon visit Djemaa El Fna Square, the centre square of the medina which comes alive by sunset and through night with local storytellers, musicians, entertainers, snake charmers and the scent of delicious food being grilled over hot coals. Overnight in riad/hotel.

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira Mogador

Essaouira it is a city overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and, it is coastal town known by its Morocco-Portuguese style.
Start your trip to Essaouira from Marrakech will begin along the Al Haouz palnes to Chichaoua village where you will stop for a cup of coffee before you continue to Sidi Mokhtar. On your way, you will cross the Argan trees forest, where you might spot some goats climbing the trees. We can stop in a local ladies’ cooperative and learn how some fine cosmetic products are locally made out of the rich Argan oil. Afterwards, we continue to Essaouira. Getting there after about a 3 hour drive to start discovering the city and walk across the its alleys.
City knew many civilisations including the Portuguese occupation, it is also regarded as Morocco’s ”Jewel of the Atlantic Ocean”. Among the many sites to visit you will find, the charming medina -the old town- and its souk which offers you a stroll in the middle of the lanes of merchants. You will discover art galleries and authentic carpentry workshops, as well as the ramparts, Scala and the kasbah, next to the sea, there is still a bastion with its guns, you can visit the busy harbour and watch the fishermen unloading their catch, and enjoy fresh fish and seafood at its best. Overnight in your riad at Essaouira.

Day 10: Essaouira – Marrakech Airport

After breakfast and transfer to the airport for departure. That’s the end of tour from Tangier. Thank you for traveling with us, we wish you safe return back home.
